A recipe that worthy to try

Potato Pancake

Onions were my most hated ingredient.why? Because it makes me cry while cutting as if it's begging me to stop from cutting it and I don't like the spicy taste that onion gave but onions have a lot of benefits to promote health in many ways. So, I tried to cook something that has onion but if you eat it, you will felt as if there's no onion.

So, Let's Go!

Things that you needed:

    4large size Potatoes

    1medium white onion

    1 1/2 cup cold water
    2 tsp. Salt
    Cooking oil

    Cornstarch

All you need to do:

1. Wash the potatoes and onion then cut it into cubes.

Notes:
  • if you wash the onion after you peel the onion skin it can lessen or remove the spicy taste that onion had.

2. Put potatoes, onion, and water into a blender.

Notes:
  • You can also use a food shredder if you don't have a blender.

  • You don't have to measure the water, and you just needed enough water to run the blender.

  • When using a blender, you need to add water to prevent the malfunction or the overheating.

3. if the mixture is well blended, you can now strain to drain all the water that you added.

Notes:
  • if there's a starch left in the water all you need to do is let water sit for a while, so the starch will sink down on to the bottom and you can add it to the batter.

4. Add cornstarch and salt to taste then mix it well.

5. Heat oil in the pan

Notes:
  • Add a generous amount of oil.

  • a little bit oil won't turn pancake into shiny, crispy and golden brown looking. It will be dry and not appetizing.

6. know that the oil is ready, you need to fry test.

7. Add the mixture according to your preferred size.

8. if the side of the pancake turns into golden brown flipped it over to cook the other side.

9. strain the cooked pancake to remove the excess oil.

Notes:
  •  you can use Food tissue paper to prevent surfaces from being covered by grease drips.
10. Serve until hot and Enjoy.
